B. Travel Information
The Calhoun ISD mission to develop, coordinate and provide quality educational services and experiences for its constituencies in an innovative and responsive manner requires Calhoun ISD staff to seek out best practices, gain state and national educational perspectives, gather knowledge and skill levels that reflect the latest trends, innovations, and challenges. The Calhoun ISD trains and guides the experts - teachers, administrators, and other staff who interact with the 26,547 students who attend our public and non-public school districts. This might require more travel to conferences and trainings than one would typically experience in a K-12 school district. We ensure accountability by requiring our school board to review and approve all out of state travel. Section 620 requires reporting certain information for board members and employees who have expenditures in excess of $3,214 for travel for the 2006-07 fiscal year.
