Local Events and Play Groups
Calhoun ISD Play Group
Playgroups are Designed for families with children ages 0 – 5. Our playgroups are parent child interaction. We provide child appropriate activities that will focus on the different child development domains (gross motor, fine motor, social emotional, communication etc.). Our main focus is Preschool readiness. We end our playgroups with snack and a story. No pre-registration required.
Playgroups are free and open to all families living in Calhoun County with children birth to age five. Families are required to have a Help Me Grow application on file to participate. Before heading out to playgroups please check the ECC Facebook page for updates and cancellations due to weather. When Battle Creek Public Schools has a snow day, playgroups will be cancelled.

- Albion Crowell School - 1418 Cooper Street, Albion
- Battle Creek Y Center Multi-Sports Complex - 66 Cherry St., Battle Creek - Please use Cherry St. Entrance
- Calhoun Area Career Center (CACC) - 475 E Roosevelt, Battle Creek (park in front by the fenced playground)
- Calhoun Medical Care Facility - 1150 E Michigan Ave, Battle Creek
- Dudley Early Learning Center - 308 West Roosevelt Ave, Battle Creek
- Willard Library - 7 W Van Buren St, Battle Creek (In event room by Children's Area)
- First Baptist Church - 80 Michigan Ave, Battle Creek (Please park in the back of the building)
