Construction Technology

Students will demonstrate Skill Mastery in most aspects of Construction Framing in the first year by framing true-to-scale projects in the lab and honing carpentry skills such as roofing, siding, soffit and fascia installation, cabinetry, trim work, window and door installation, insulation installation, and simple woodworking. Students receive safety training, OSHA testing, along with basic knowledge/use of tools.

Second-year students will receive additional training through work-based learning opportunities outside of the classroom, dual enrollment at the RMTC in Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, or Millwright, or by participating in building a tiny home.
